My name is Jenny McNally, and I run Jenny Diane Hypnotherapy. I live in Lisburn with my family and am a mother to two teenage daughters and my little dog Maisie.

I started my career in education when I was 22 and was a High School Teacher for the next 25 years both in London and in Belfast. I enjoyed many school roles, including Head of Year, responsibility for pupils’ mental and emotional wellbeing and whole school charity work. I am a warm, friendly and supportive person and am interested in helping people. I am fascinated with the power of the conscious and subconscious minds, especially when it comes to healing our issues and creating our reality. I think re-training the mind is powerful when overcoming psychological barriers, too, and I believe hypnotherapy is the best tool to help people make positive changes in their lives.

As a result of all of this, I left my teaching career and trained to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist. I have a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma. I am a member of NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy) and AfSFH (Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy). I currently have practices based in Lisburn and, Garvagh outside Coleraine.

I specialise in solution-focused hypnotherapy, a combination of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. It uses practical and well-researched strategies based on the latest neuroscience to help people make significant changes in their lives. This ‘positive mindset’ therapy focuses on what a client wants to achieve in their life. It is incredibly effective. Instead of dwelling on why clients feel the way they do, the problem itself or their past issues, this modern hypnotherapy is all about looking for solutions and moving forward. It can help clients with anxiety, depression, fertility issues, insomnia, OCD, quittings, heartache/grief, weight control, menopause symptoms, confidence building and many more problems.

In March 2020, I was awarded runner-up for an award in the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Business Awards. These very prestigious awards, which run every two years, show the pinnacle of success in business in the area. I was delighted to get through every stage through presentations and interviews and eventually be in the final. I feel I achieved this as I combined my experience as a teacher with my therapy skills. For over a year, I went out into the community offering courses in such areas as Overcoming Anxiety, Weight Management and Beating Quitting to several centres and charities.
